I now work, inspired by the colours, shapes and events of the world around me, on unique pieces and commissions from my studio in Borrisokane,North Tipperary, Ireland

I use many different media, mainly oils and acrylics on canvas, but also oil bars, pastels, cold wax, charcoal, whatever a painting needs. I employ a multi-media process in my work and love to experiment using different substances and tools.

My work is quite physical, especially when done on a large scale. This gives it the freedom and spontaneity for which it is known.
Music is integral to the performance, adding rhythm and cadence to the works.
As you can see from my apron- not all the paint I use ends up on the canvas!

I'm inspired by nature, but also by the built environment, influenced by colours, tones, shapes, rhythms and the emotions evoked. This appreciation comes from within and drives the urge to create. I hope that my paintings carry the emotion and energy I invest in them and bring atmosphere and ambience wherever displayed.
